2020 IRS Auto Mileage rate change

Beginning on January 1, 2020, the standard mileage rates for the use of an auto will be 57.5 cents per mile driven for business use. That's down 1/2 cents from last year. 

Be sure to keep detailed contemporary records during the year (date, miles driven, where, and business purpose - at minimum). Please see IRS Publication 463 for recordkeeping requirements, and what travel costs are deductible.
