Just a note regarding "portal" use - the best & fastest method to provide your income tax data is using the online portal (link). Just like the last few years, it works great for most of my clients.

How do taxpayers use Intuit Link for ProConnect Tax?
Intuit says...
"Intuit Link is a secure web-based portal that accountants can use to gather tax data from their clients. Your experience with Intuit Link is initiated by an email invitation from your Tax Preparer".
If you didn't receive an email invite to use the Intuit Portal, please email me. I'll send it out again. If you are a bit "old-school" & want to mail in all your paperwork (only copies please), or drop off your papers or a usb drive at my front desk - that will work too. It just takes longer (snailmail, etc). No worries, as whatever works for you will work for me. Just trying to be as secure as possible with your tax data.
Please see the letter & tax organizer emailed to you last December, for detailed instructions. If you didn't receive that, I can provide those again, in the portal "shared documents" folder - just ask...
Once you have accepted the invitation, you sign in at PROLINK.INTUIT.COM
intuit is a huge company with many applications, so if you just sign in on Intuit.com, you may get lost in the web. But prolink.intuit.com takes you right to the portal sign in.
You merely upload the completed tax organizer, documents, and answer questions.
We can still correspond by email, phone, or text... for questions & such - but please email NO tax documents, even if they are encrypted. No Dropbox, or other doc sharing apps, either. The Intuit integrated link/portal is best. Thanks!
